Level 2 home charging, load-calculated and installed to code — not just a plug in the garage.
A Level 2 charger draws serious continuous load. The install needs a proper load calculation against your existing service, the right circuit, and correct protection — otherwise you're either tripping breakers or creating a hazard.
The cleanest install for a permanent home charger. Dedicated circuit, hardwired directly to the unit.
A flexible option if you want to take the charger with you or swap units later. Requires GFCI protection.
We calculate whether your existing service can carry the charger before quoting — not after.
If your panel can't support the load, we'll tell you up front and quote the upgrade separately.
Attached garage, detached shop, or exterior mount — including proper weatherproofing for Manitoba winters.
EV charger circuits require a permit and inspection. We handle both.
The charger itself is often the simple part. The question is whether your existing service has capacity. We run the load calculation first, and if a service upgrade is needed we tell you before you've committed to anything.
Hardwired is cleaner and slightly cheaper on parts. A NEMA 14-50 receptacle gives you flexibility to swap or take the unit with you, but adds a GFCI breaker and industrial-grade receptacle to the cost.
A charger on the far side of a detached garage is a very different job from one on the wall shared with your panel. Run length affects both wire cost and labour.
Rebate programs for EV charging change periodically. Check current Manitoba and federal programs before you buy your unit — some require a licensed installer, which we are.
Tell us about your project. We'll follow up to discuss the scope and next steps.
Talk to us before you buy the charger — we'll tell you what your service can handle.
